Explore a free exhibition of colourful banners celebrating Lincolnshire, inspired by the Lincolnshire Rising of 1536.

Discover a collection of colourful banners celebrating life in Lincolnshire, created by local schools and community groups.

Taking inspiration from the church banners used during the Lincolnshire Rising of 1536, the banners share what Lincolnshire means to the groups taking part, along with their hopes for the future.

Throughout September, participating schools and community groups have been working with artists Lou & Nadya from Lumo Workshop to design and create their banners.

Schools and groups taking part:

  • Market Deeping Community Primary School
  • The Deepings School
  • Baston CE Primary School
  • Deeping St James Women’s Institute (WI)

Set within the beautiful Priory Church of Deeping St James, this free exhibition is open to visitors during the church’s opening hours, 10am - 5pm.
